With the dodgy weather we have had today have seen 3 of those water spout thingys - they look like tornados but on the water???? If youy know what I mean?
Just been out for a smoke cos the bloody system crashed and we are having a bloody great lightning storm Big forks of it lighting the sky just like day light - it's lush!!!!!!!
Sometimes this job ain't that bad - 8 days to go as we are 1 hour infront of you!

Henry recalled the visit to the banker and said, 'I can forgive you for
that. You saved our home, and now, what about the second time?'
 
 
Martha asked, 'And do you remember when you were so sick, but we didn't have
the money to pay for the heart surgery you needed? Well I went to see your
doctor one night and, if you recall, he did the surgery at no charge.'
 
 
'I do recall that,' said Henry. 'And you did it to save my life, so I of
course I can forgive you for that.  Now tell me about the third time.'
 
 
'All right', Martha said. 'So do you remember when you ran for President of
your golf club, and you needed 86 more votes....... 
 

Well I finally got of the ship after to flippy long! Taxi, post haste, to the Tatshack where I finally got the tattoo I had promised myself since the beginning of the deployment 300 euros seemed a lot however, having seen some of the efforts by other " artists" I'm glad I toook the trouble to search out Deano on the web! Expensive but you have a tat for a long time!!!
Then to the hotel ( v v posh ) where 3 bottles of rose ( one of each please ) SEEMED a good idea at the time - I obviously needed the 14 hours sleep after lol!
Woke up at 05:40 on my first day of in weeks, force of habit I suppose but at least I hadn't stuck to the sheets, the cream stuff you have to put on gets everywhere
Sunday was a chilled day, booking into a spa hotel with split level pool wasn't prob the best idea when I couldn't go swimming or sunbathing so faught with the new facebook to post 2 pics and wade through all the notifications and stuff ( Hiya T, found you in the end ! )
Just wish hadn't bumped into mate and his g/f as I was checking out this morn - hotel wouldn't take either of the cards they had so it was " George can you lend me 500 euros" ffs! Talk about taking the p155 - they even shared me taxi back and didn't offer to share - oh well 5h1t happens I suppose! Just hope get the dosh back soon as need it for when eLLe flies out to Alicante on Friday!!!!!!!!!!

It looks really beautiful but can't really remember more about it as haven't been here since 1988 ( what a year )
Hopefully will have a quiet duty as everyone is gonna let loose after 3 and a half weeks at sea - so wish me luck!

Saw rain yesterday for the first time since MArch, it was only a couple of minutes on the flight deck but it reminded me of home - strange as I'm still in the Med! Rain hasn't changed that much - it's still wet
Had a 5 hour stop in Augusta ( Sicily ) today as we needed fuel and we can't RAS for a while
Next stop is Valetta 2moz - I have to work 2moz night ( duty ) but am of on Sat morning and Sunday ( first day of in 5 and a half weeks ffs! )
So tat at the tatshack - decent food, a hotel, and a chance to recharge my batteries

Someone worked out that we have only had 40 odd days alongside out of 205 so considering I've been duty for some of them - well I need a break That is where Puerto de la Cruz comes in

Hopefully have just booked into the Tatshack in Valetta to have another tattoo done It's gonna be a red dragon ( another one ) but as it's on my right calf it should be green! Oh well - it will be above my black cat

Well we have finally passed out of the Red Sea, up the Suez and are back in to the Med So we are def closer to home Roll on Oct 3rd

We are at the bottom of the Red Sea and will be through the Suez Canal in a few days Into the Med ( few days in Valetta ) Quick stop in Alicante ( pick up eLLe who is sailing back with us ) Arriving back to Plymouth at the beginning of October 205 days after we left! She's a deployment!

TWO NUNS - not stolen from Dee

There were two nuns...

One of them was known as Sister Mathematical (SM),

and the other one was known as Sister Logical (SL).

It is getting dark and they are still far away from the convent.

SM: Have you noticed that a man has been following us for
the past thirty-eight and a half minutes? I wonder what he wants.

SL: It's logical. He wants to rape us.

SM: Oh, no! At this rate he will reach us in 15 minutes
at the most! What can we do?

SL: The only logical thing to do of course is to walk faster.

SM: It's not working.

SL: Of course it's not working. The man did the only
logical thing. He started to walk faster, too.

SM: So, what shall we do? At this rate he will reach us in one minute.

SL: The only logical thing we can do is split. You go that way and
I'll go this way. He cannot follow us both.

So the man decided to follow Sister Logical.

Sister Mathematical arrives at the convent and is
worried about what has happened to Sister Logical.

Then Sister Logical arrives.

SM: Sister Logical! Thank God you are here!
Tell me what happened!

SL: The only logical thing happened.
The man couldn't follow us both,so he followed me

SM: Yes, yes! But what happened then?

SL: The only logical thing happened. I started to run
as fast as I could and he started to run as fast as he could.

SM: And?

SL: The only logical thing happened. He reached me

SM: Oh, dear! What did you do?

SL: The only logical thing to do. I lifted my dress up.

SM: Oh, Sister! What did the man do?

SL: The only logical thing to do. He pulled down his pants.

SM: Oh, no! What happened then?

SL: Isn't it logical, Sister?
A nun with her dress up can run faster than man with his pants down.

No, I haven't been on for a few days so filling in the gaps!
Hmmmmmmmmmmm where did I leave of!
OK yeah hmm Dinner with the Captain, not what I really wanted ( keep your head down ) The meal was fine, the wine better
Had to carry on in the Mess when I finished up there so had a late night ( early morning ) Had a little lie in for work but twas ok as had top-cover
Had a flight deck BBQ the following night, which was nice! No food poisoning reported so that is always a bonus
Following that we had a talent competition (?) Several members of the ships company proved that they didn't have any ( One did the same act he did last year - and he was rubbish then!!!!!! ) The girls did a syncronised dance called " Watch the dance not the bounce " It went down well But the winner was a rapper from Leeds called Crash!Admittedly the 3rd encore suffered from Fosters induced slurring but he had already won by then so it didn't matter
As you can prob tell we are in a lower state of readiness at the min( helicopter is broken ) So we are taking the chance to let of a bit of steam However we have been away from home for 179 days and only have 26 days left before we return to the UK
